Abigail groaned, slouching in her chair and letting her head fall back so she could stare up at the ceiling. “It’s torture. Why learn it if I’m not going to use it or remember it?” She huffed. “Do I have to do maths in college still?”
“Oooh yeah,” Peri said with a sigh. “I took extensive notes just so I wouldn’t have to keep it all in my head. I’m sure I have them somewhere, I’ll see if I can dig them out.” She looked at her little sister with a sad smile. She really did feel sorry for her, although she didn’t know what she was going through. When Peri was Abby’s age, Hamish was homeschooling her in Germany.
