“I doubt rational is a word anyone would use to describe me right now.” She laughed weakly and started towards the lab, leaning a little on Peri. “It’s fairly large, thank goodness.”
“Only difference between rational and irrational is a syllable.” It may not have made sense, but a small part of her hoped that the fact would distract Jemma. As they walked, Peri finally began noticing exactly how unwell Jemma seemed. The excess of weight being put on her was the first clue, but as Peri looked over, it wasn’t hard to deduce that she had been suffering sleepless nights. “Size doesn’t matter, it’s all about what’s in there.”
